The House of Heroes has work projects throughout the year. To realize our goal of helping as many veterans and spouses as possible, we need your help. Any volunteer or financial contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated. We welcome contributions from both businesses and individuals. All contributions are tax-deductible. Hogbottom IV Music and Bar-B-Que, Saturday, April 24, 2010. Music starts at 1:00 p.m., Bar-B-Que around 6:00 p.m., Primitive Camping. Bring your kids, coolers, lounge chairs and instruments. Please no pets. $10 donation is requested for admission. From Phenix City: Take AL 165 South 12 miles to Patterson Road (CR38) on Left or From Eufaula: Take AL 165 North 19 miles to Patterson Road (CR38) on right then 1/4 mile on the right and follow signs "Run for the Heroes" - 4 days across Georgia. A four day, 270 mile run from Columbus, Georgia to Savannah, Georiga. The route: Downhill back roads from the National Infantry Museum to the tip of Tybee Island. Beginning May 22, 2009 at 4:00 a.m. EDST and finishing Memorial Day, May 25th. John Teeples will be running a slow paced, all downhill, tailwind-aided, shaded route. John will be raising money for HOH-CVC to honor veterans over the Memorial Day Weekend who have sacrificed for our freedoms and safety we all enjoy today. 100% of the funds raised during the run will given to HOH-CVC. Our next annual "work blitz" will be held during the month of September 2009. There will be a flag ceremony honoring the 2009 recepeints and the many volunteers and sponsors who have worked on the homes. The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2009, The Columbus Convention Trade Center.
